With almost ten years as an insurance broker, Robert has developed very strong relationships with many Underwriters. Several key Underwriters routinely make deals happen for Robert, when other brokers would have been turned away, or had already been told "no"! Those same Underwriters have worked with Rob to craft niche, proprietary insurance programs which have provided cover, a creative deductible structure and/or more favorable valuations which would be triggered by workplace injuries, Catastrophic natural disasters, inventory and transit losses, Shareholder Lawsuits and Intellectual Property violations as well as cover for a host of other perils.
Robert is a Senior Vice President of the Property and Casualty Insurance Group at Poms & Associates Insurance Brokers, Inc. He’s assigned to the Commercial Lines Dept where they blend custom Risk Management ideas with traditional brokerage. Poms’ middle market clients, those that may have substantive operational complexities but without budget for their own internal Risk Manager, have access to Poms' "Rent-a-Risk Manager" program in addition to the traditional Insurance brokerage services which normally include Insurance Coverage Placement, Loss Control and Claims Advocacy.
Robert’s book is made up mainly of Consumer Products and Apparel manufacturers with 50+ employees with annual revenues ranging from about $10M to over $200M. His clients tend to be L.A. based with facilities throughout the U.S. along with high concentrations of import/export trade as well as foreign operations.
Poms is the 8th largest Insurance broker in Southern California according to the Los Angeles Business Journal Book of Lists for 2011.
Since 1991, Poms has specialized in the design and implementation of custom Risk Management, Risk Transfer and Self-Insured Excess Liability programs for Fortune 500 companies as well as large municipalities.
